Students in Parkland Secondary’s Peer Helping Class are once again, raising support and dollars to continue funding education for Lewis Githinji Njorogo in Nairobi. Their most recent Spirit Assembly in May included a pie-throwing contest where students purchased tickets for the chance to throw a pie at a teacher. EHA BC is grateful for the continued connection between students on Vancouver Island and our students in Kenya and is honoured to be associated with Parkland!
More than 60 people gathered on May 2nd at the SHOAL Centre in Sidney to celebrate Africa, children’s education, and the work of EHA BC. Thanks go out to the community for their support, and for helping us to raise much-needed funds for our students in Nairobi. A shout out to the fabulous Wontanara Drum and Dance of Victoria for their entertaining and uplifting performance, enjoyed by all. Special thanks to the SHOAL Centre and their wonderful team for their help and support. ———————————————————————————————————-
